MAKEUP AND HAIR RELATED QUESTIONS
- You're based in Sydney, but do you travel outside of Sydney?
Yes! I do travel! I love to travel! But depending where you are, travel costs may apply. We can sort that out when you get in touch with me here!
- Do you only do wedding make up?
No no, I can do makeup for any occasion. Well I can apply makeup for occasions not requiring Special FX - this is something I'd like to add under my belt further down the track though! You can hire me for a special occasion, a birthday makeover, a big night out or even a fashion shoot!
- What kind of hairstyles can you do?
I do have experience in light hair up-dos, hair curling and braiding for brides, bridesmaids, flower girls and mother-of-the-brides. If there's a particular hairstyle you're after, please send through some inspirational photos and lets chat to see whether I can help you achieve the look you are after!
- What are your makeup application and hair styling rates?
Please see my services page here
- Do you include false lashes in your makeup application rate?
Yes they are included (but not compulsory), and I prefer to use the ultra luxe individual cluster lashes or the triple individual cluster lashes from Modelrock lashes.
- How long does makeup &/hair styling usually take?
Makeup application or hair styling application takes between 45 minutes to 1 Hour, depending on the style of makeup or hair style. I always tell my clients to allocate 1 Hour to be safe.
For makeup and/or hair styling bridal trials, please allow at least 1 to 2 hours each, as this is the time where we can discuss your options and chat through your vision for your wedding day IN ADDITION to the actual makeup and/or hair styling application.
- What makeup product brands do you use?
I use makeup products and makeup tools from quite a few leading cosmetic brands (high-end and low-end/drugstore brands), which I have self tested and believe they offer the longevity and quality of finish required for a professional, personalised and flawless application that most clients expect. While I don't believe there is ONE cosmetics brand that offers the best of everything, the dominant brands in my professional makeup kit are: NARS, MAC, Laura Mercier, and Bobbi Brown. I am always on the constant search for items that work to deliver the high quality finish I expect, and therefore, many cosmetics brands (drugstore to luxury) will go in and out of my makeup kit.
Makeup brush brands used include, but is not limited to: MAC, Rae Morris & Hakuhodo, Surratt, IT Cosmetics and Bobbi Brown.
- I have a particular preference for a makeup product, can you use this?
If you feel more comfortable using a product that you are used to or would like incorporated into your look, then by all means feel free to bring that along. We can have a pre-makeup chat before the application process to figure out how to work it in!
